A Guide To Top 14 Captivating Toronto Wedding Photo Shoot Locations

Toronto has some of the most amazing places to shoot engagement and wedding photos. Couples who are getting married here are spoilt with so many options. I won't be able to cover each and every Toronto location. The objective is to list down some of the popular ones and the ones where I take most of my couples. I will try to keep adding to this list. So if you know a wonderful spot then do write to me and I will include it here.

Distillery District

55 Mill Street, Toronto Ontario

One of my favourite locations to shoot in downtown Toronto. With its cobblestone streets, hip restaurants, bars and boutiques it is an ideal place for photographing weddings and engagements. Permit is required. Super busy place for wedding couples. However, it is quite spread out. You can easily work around other couples. If you are going for this look then this is the ideal place for you.

Osgoode Hall

130 Queen St W, Toronto, ON

Popular destination for photographers to take wedding or engagement photos. Osgoode Hall building and its cobblestone pathways make for wonderful classic setting. No permit required but lot of weddings take place here. Call in advance and check schedule.

Casa Loma

1 Austin Terrace, Toronto, ON

Gothic Revival style mansion and garden of Casa Loma make it a popular destination for weddings and engagement photos. It offers stunning interiors and exterior. Sought after by couples looking for a romantic style shoot.

High Park

1873 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON

One of the most stunning natural sites in Toronto. Lot of nature and greenery. Very popular destination for park goers and as well as for all kinds of photography. Requires a permit for wedding/engagement photography. However, since the park is so huge (spread over 161 hectares) I have rarely seen couples acquire a permit. But better safe than sorry. I always suggest you to get a permit, just in case!

Kensington Market

Toronto, ON

Bohemian style neighborhood with its art spaces, indie shops and vintage boutiques. Not every wedding/engagement couple’s cup of tea. It’s loud and busy. But if you’re looking for unique and fun then this is your place.

Graffiti Alley

Toronto, ON

Street art and great vibe. That’s the best way to describe this place. As with Kengsinton market, not very wedding/engagement couple will want this look. But if you wanna be bold and different then give this place a chance.

Polson Pier

11 Polson St, Toronto, ON

If you’ve ever wondered where to get that perfect Toronto skyline then this is it. It’s also know as The Docks. It’s never crowded but very famous for couple shots of all kinds. I highly recommended this place.

Evergreen Brickworks

550 Bayview Ave, Toronto, ON

Used to be an abandoned brick factory. Now it’s a transformed green hub with heritage buildings, pathways and trees. Very popular location for all kinds of photography and especially weddings and engagements.

University of Toronto

There are countless places within UofT where you can take stunning wedding and engagement photos. Building have the most amazing architect which make for beautiful backdrops, lush green trees, lots of open spaces in between. Few remarkable spots within UofT: Knox College, Hart House, Trinity College. Permit is required to shoot at UofT.

Scarborough Bluffs (Bluffers Park)

Scarborough, ON

One of the few escarpments in Toronto area. It stands 300 feet above the coastline. Couples looking for beach photos with a stunning escarpment backdrop will find this an ideal spot. Sunset photography is very popular at this spot.

Guildwood Park

201 Guildwood Pkwy, Scarborough, ON

A beautiful park with Greek and Roman style architecture with temples and theatre style structures. At least that’s my opinion that it’s Greek style architecture. I could be wrong. Regardless, it’s a fantastic spot to shoot wedding and engagement photos. Lots of lush green trees and shrubs as well. Not very crowded. It’s like the lost gem of Toronto. I highlight recommend it.

Toronto Botanical Gardens / Edwards Gardens

777 Lawrence Ave E, North York, ON

These two parks are joined at the hip. Beautiful parks, full of greenery, trees, and shrubs. Popular spot for wedding couples. It's a huge park so finding a place to shoot is not going to be an issue.

St. Lawrence Market

93 Front St E, Toronto, ON

Another popular destination for wedding/engagement photos.
